There is no authority in English. English is a living tongue; it is consequently develoiping and changing. It is not sin to defy "authority". If by doing so you can learn to think for yourself. It is a sin only when you defy it out of mere intellectual arrogance. If you do not agree to the views of a certain writer of English, you should put forth your own, but they must be better and more acceptable
